Daily COVID-19 vaccination numbers continue to decline, according to Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh.
He says while second dose shots continue to be administered, his concern remains with persons showing up for first dose shots.
To date just over 600,000 people have been fully vaccinated.
Mr. Deyalsingh says this figure this country should not be ‘overly jubilant’ by crossing this figure, since there remains at least 300,000 people who are eligible to get inoculated.
Mr. Deyalsingh adds that vaccine numbers in the 12-18 age group has also continued to decline, despite at least 49,000 remaining in that bracket who are eligible to be vaccinated.
The Minister was speaking during the Ministry of Health COVID-19 update on Saturday.
