The Amendments to the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Bill 2023 have been passed in the House of Representatives and will now make their way to the President.
Speaking before the vote, Attorney General Reginald Armour assured that the amendments included oversight and ‘agreement’ from the Procurement Regulator.
But Opposition MP Saddam Hosein said members on the other side still have their reservations about the law.
The Motion to consider the amendments from the Senate took just under a half hour in the Lower House on Monday, with 19 members voting for, 8 Opposition members voting against, with no abstentions.
