The Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, is urging the Trinidad and Tobago Registered Nurses Association (TTRNA) to write to him for a meeting.
This, as the TTRNA protested through the streets of Port of Spain on Friday. President of the Association, Idi Stuart said nurses are suffering from “burn-out” due to staff shortages. He said they are asking for a patient-to-staff ratio to be implemented mandatory across RHAs.
The Minister said he is willing to meet with the Association’s President.
As it pertains to their salary concerns, the Minister explained how this concern should be dealt with.
