Nicholas Paul continued to dominate in the Men’s Sprint on his way into the Semis at the 2023 UCI World Cycling Championships in Glasgow today.
Paul lined up against Great Britain’s Joseph Truman in Heat 3 of the Quarter Finals.
The Flying 200 World Record Holder disposed of his opposition in characteristic style, winning in straight rides to book his spot.
Paul will now face Poland’s Mateusz Rudyk for a spot in the Final.
Rudyk advanced at the expense of Japan’s Kaiya Ota in straight rides.
The one lap world record holder qualified third fastest with a time of 9.529.
He beat the Netherlands’ eight-time world champion Jeffrey Hoogland in the 1/8th final to advance to the Quarters.
Tomorrow’s race begins at 7am TT time.
