Minister of Finance Colm Imbert has confirmed that a proposal for the increase of the minimum wage has been submitted, and is being considered.
Responding to reporters during a Press Conference on Wednesday, Minister Imbert said in considering an increase there must be balance.
At this year’s Labour Day rally, trade unionists demanded that the minimum wage be increased from $17.50 an hour to $30 an hour.
