Works on the Cascade Community Centre are complete.
The Centre was officially handed over to the residents today.
Minister of Energy and Energy Industries and MP for Port of Spain North/St. Ann’s West, Stuart Young, said Community Centres are needed as they provide a space for community engagement.
The Cascade Community Centre will be utilised by residents of St. Ann’s, Cascade, and Mount Hololo.
Minister Young urged residents to make great use of the Centre.
One feature of the modern Community Centres is the computer room. Minister of Digital Transformation, Hassel Bacchus, said the aim of these rooms is to create a technology-enabled environment.
Awards were presented to residents of the community who have excelled in the field of sporting, theatre, academics, and much more. Among those receiving awards were Clayton Morris, Richard Thompson, Earl Lovelace, and Akua Leith.
