US$10M Project For Flood Relief And Water Deficit Events In South Oropouche

Relief will soon come to the community of South Oropouche following the allocation of a US$10 million Grant funded under the Adaptation Fund, Trinidad and Tobago’s first Grant-funded National Project.

The project, implemented under the Ministry of Planning and Development, titled the ‘Multi-Sectoral Adaptation Measures to Flood Relief in the South Oropouche River Basin,’ will seek to address the flooding and water deficit events in the community.

The four-year project will be nationally led by the Ministry of Planning and Development and executed by the University of the West Indies through the St. Augustine Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (STACIE).
