Dwayne Bravo To Retire From International Cricket On Saturday

West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo will retire from the international game after the regional side’s final ICC World Cup T20 match against Australia on Saturday.

Bravo confirmed his retirement after the team was eliminated from the tournament by Sri Lanka on Thursday.

Regarded as the most successful T20 cricketer in the form’s short history, Bravo holds the record for most T20 wickets with 553 over his 511 match career, including 78 in 90 T20 internationals.

A two-time World T20 winner in 2012 and 2016, he returned from retirement to aid the Windies ill-fated title defense this year.

Bravo said the time had come for him to step down from the Windies after a “very good” 18 year career.

The elder Bravo brother played 40 tests, 164 ODIs, and 100 first class West Indies matches.
