23 Confirmed Cases Of Chickenpox At Five Rivers Secondary

Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh has confirmed that there are 23 cases of the Chickenpox Virus at the Five Rivers Secondary School.

On Wednesday, the Health Ministry, via a media release, said there were several cases at the school, but did not confirm the amount. But speaking to reporters on Thursday, Minister Deyalsingh revealed that 22 students and one teacher have been affected.

The County Medical Officer of Health along with school officials took the necessary public health measures to close and sanitise affected classrooms at the school.
