Let’s all plant a tree to remove carbon dioxide and help protect Trinidad and Tobago’s environment for future generations.
That’s the message from the Rotary Club of Maracas, St. Joseph. The Rotary Club on Sunday launched their refurbishment project at the Maracas Waterfall in Maracas Valley, St. Joseph. Immediate past President and Environmental Services Chair, Anil Sieukumar says there were some delays with the project.
The Rotary Club refurbished the picnic area, two rest stop sheds, and the welcome booth. They also erected signs encouraging those who visit the waterfall to leave nothing behind but their footprints.
Through the Digicel Foundation’s “better Together Project” the Rotary Club received TT $50,000 for the refurbishment of the rest and picnic spot at the entrance to the Maracas Waterfall.
