As the country prepares for the upcoming Christmas season, the Port of Spain City Police Service plans to flood the streets with officers to prevent any incidents of crime in the capital city.
WPC Savitri Deoraj said the operation forms part of the police service’s Christmas anti-crime initiative, adding that some of the officers will not be visible to customers.
As it relates to illegal vending, WPC Deoraj encouraged vendors to register their business ahead of the busy season. WPC Deoraj said vendors must have this license to offer their commodities for sale.
