The Ministry of Social Development and Family Services joined the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China on Tuesday to distribute food vouchers to 138 vulnerable families.
The recipients were selected by the Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society.
Minister Donna Cox said the initiative led by the Embassy highlights the importance of collaborative efforts in times of need.
She said it will not only provide sustenance to those facing difficult times, but also demonstrate the compassion and solidarity that defines Trinidad and Tobago as a nation.
