The Ministry of Education says 11,500 or 90% of active, eligible teachers across Trinidad and Tobago will receive their backpay with December 2023 salaries tomorrow, December 19th.
Payments for the remaining 10% of active teachers will continue to be processed and is estimated to be completed by December 31st, 2023.
Payments for retired teachers will be processed subsequently.
The Education Ministry has established an email address at backpayqueries@moe.gov.tt to receive and respond to queries on teachers’ backpay emoluments.
