For a second time, the People’s National Movement Tobago Council is questioning the Tobago House of Assembly’s use of State funds.
On Wednesday, Political Leader of the PNM Tobago Council Ancil Dennis stated contrary to claims made by the THA allocations are being received. He read figures from a document which he said outlined the cheques collected and processed by the THA received from the Central Government.
Meanwhile, the PNM Tobago Leader claimed several payments are outstanding. Among these he outlined is the payments to performers from Tobago’s 2022 and 2023 festivals.
However, Tourism Secretary Tashia Grace Burris debunked Mr. Dennis’ statements. Speaking to TTT News, she noted a number of payments have been processed and persons have been called to collect. Secretary Burris urged all who have not received payments to contact the Division.
