Tobago House of Assembly Secretary of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, Dr. Faith B Yisreal, is calling on organisations to join them in their Blood Donation Drive.
She made this call on Wednesday as the blood drive began at the Tobago Regional Health Authority’s office. Dr. B Yisreal informed one pint of blood can save three lives.
Patient Care Services General Manager Michelle Benjamin lamented the TRHA cannot rely on Trinidad for blood as the increase in violent crimes and accidents is causing a strain on RHA’s in Trinidad as well. The Chief Executive Officer of the TRHA stressed donating blood should be viewed as part of one’s social and civic duty.
The blood drive will roll out at the Division of Community Development, Youth Development and Sport on March 20th.
