Calypso Monarch Machel Montano collected the keys to his brand new Suzuki Grand Vitara.
This was the prize for copping the Calypso Monarch title. The song, “Soul of Calypso,” which was part of his studies, helped to nab the prize. He said the moment, while significant, is much bigger than him.
Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, Randall Mitchell, congratulated Machel on his accomplishments.
