On Sunday 21st November, 2021 the ODPM’s Operations Manager, Mr. Dennis Marcelle, presented a second batch of 30 cots to Mr. Keston Joseph, the Disaster Coordinator of the SWRHA, on behalf of the Ministry of Health.
The presentation of the cots took place at the National Operations Centre at Mausica. The ODPM provided the cots to assist the SWRHA manage the increasing number of persons seeking medical attention in that region.
The handover comes on the heels of the United States Embassy’s donation of 470 military grade cots to the ODPM earlier this month. The Office, through negotiations with its international and regional partners, remains committed to building the capacity of national institutions and in this case, to strengthening our nation’s resolve in the fight against the COVID-19 virus.
