Valuations Deadline May Be Extended

There may be an extension of the deadline to submit Property Tax valuation forms.

Minister of Finance, Colm Imbert, said the total number of returns for residential properties at this time currently stands at 165,000. He said according to the law, the Valuation Division must get 200,000 returns before the process of implementation of the Property Tax begins.

The Minister was responding to an Urgent Question in the House of Representatives today, posed by Pointe-a-Pierre MP David Lee. He was asked to inform the House whether he had given consideration to the call by the business community for an extension to the November 30th deadline.
