Thirty one new COVID-19 related fatalities have been recorded in Trinidad and Tobago – the highest number of deaths to date.
This brings the total number of deaths related to COVID-19 to 2,040.
Among the deaths were:
10 elderly males
9 elderly females
6 middle-aged males
5 middle-aged females
1 male child
– 19 persons had comorbidities including diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, Parkinson’s disease, kidney disease, lung disease, cancer, and a history of strokes.
– 7 persons had one comorbidity (diabetes, hypertension, or cancer).
– 5 persons had no known comorbidity.
The Ministry of Health also stated that 624 new Positive COVID-19 cases were recorded. The total number of active cases is now 9,606.
The Ministry noted the number of cases were from samples taken between November 21st and November 24th and not in the last 24 hours.
