Trinidad and Tobago needs to look proactively towards renewable energy sources. The advice comes from Joel Pemberton, Chairman of Resverba Energy Limited, whose objective is to build sustainable energy solutions for the long term.
Speaking during a UWI virtual conference, Mr Pemberton reminds us that this country uses almost 100% of natural gas for power generation. He believes investing in renewable energy will significantly cut down on the amount of natural gas needed, noting that Suriname now uses 50% of renewable energy for their power generation needs.
