It’s been a slow but steady start to voting in the Quinam/Morne Diablo and Lengua/Indian Walk Bye Elections.
The polls opened promptly at 6 o’clock this morning with no issues reported so far.
In the Polling Station at the Princes Town West Secondary School, less than a dozen vehicles were seen entering the compound in the first hour of voting in Lengua/Indian Walk.
Very few voters were also seen at the Polling Station of the Kubair-singh Penal Rock Hindu School in Quinam/Morne Diablo.
The PNM’s candidate for Quinam/Morne Diablo, Anderson Nanan, cast his vote after 6am and said he’s confident there will be a high voter turnout at the polls as the day progresses.
TTT News also caught up with the UNC’s candidate Sarah Sookdeo who said the voting process was a smooth one and is expecting voters to turn up in their numbers throughout the day.
