Kyle Mayers has been approved as a replacement for West Indies opener Brandon King and will join the team on Saturday.
King sustained a side strain during the West Indies game against England on Wednesday and retired hurt without taking the field for the reminder of the game. After several scans and consultations with the West Indies medical team, it was advised that King enter into a period of recovery. The ICC Events Technical Committee, reviewed the request and approved the replacement of King for left handed batter Kyle Mayers. The Windies clash in a must win game this evening at 8:30pm Eastern Caribbean Time in Barbados.
