ADB Needs An App

The Agricultural Development Bank of Trinidad and Tobago (ADB) is being encouraged by the Public Accounts Committee of the Parliament to develop a mobile application to make its services more accessible.

An inquiry into the audited financial statements of the ADB for the financial years 2014 to 2018 was conducted by the PAC on Wednesday.

Chairman of the Committee, Davendranath Tancoo, said it is a very basic tool to reach more farmers, especially those residing in rural areas, and can reach hundreds of thousands of people.

While the Chairman of the ADB, Farid Antar, agrees, he said the bank is not a clearing bank directly connected to the payments network.
