Elective Surgeries Put on Hold In Tobago

Effective today, all outpatient clinics, ward reviews and elective surgeries on the island of Tobago have been temporarily suspended in order to reduce human traffic and curb the spread of COVID-19 in the island’s only Hospital. This according to a release from the Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA).The release stated that the Scarborough General Hospital (SGH) will continue to conduct consultations, treatment and care usually provided by the clinic via telephone or on a case-by-case basis. The Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) encouraged the public to utilize local health centres until clinic operations on the island are able to resume.
