Dr. Hamid Ghany has been awarded the title of ‘Honorary Professor’ by The University of the West Indies.
The University announced the conferral on Professor Ghany for his significant contributions to Constitutional and Parliamentary Affairs on Tuesday.
A Professor and former Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Ghany is currently serving at the University’s St. Augustine Campus, teaching both Undergraduate, and Graduate level courses in Political Science and Governance since 1993.
Dr. Ghany was credited with the creation of the Faculty’s Constitutional Affairs and Parliamentary Studies Unit, as well as the Distinguished Lecture Series at the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies (SALISES).
