Trinidad and Tobago’s and the lone Caribbean female cyclist, Teniel Campbell, finished a commendable 24th of out a field of seventy at the UCI Road World Championship 2024 in Zurich.
With tears streaming down her face, Campbell highlighted the logistical setbacks which hindered her preparations for the race which she finished in 42 minutes, 45.15 seconds. But, despite the disappointments Campbell liked the course, which took place along Lake Zurich. The 29.9 kilometres race was won by the defending Olympic champion, Australian Grace Brown in a time of 39 minutes, 16.04 seconds.
