Four Arrested, Cannabis Seized During POS Task Force Operation

The Port of Spain Division Task Force conducted a targeted warrant and house search operation on Friday 6th December 2024, which resulted in the seizure of illegal cannabis, ammunition, and the arrest of a suspect wanted for robbery.

The operation, which took place between 4am and 8:30am, focused on priority offenders and wanted persons across the Belmont and Besson Street districts.

The operation yielded the following results:

1. Harpe Place, Port of Spain: Two suspects were arrested for Possession of Cannabis, with a total weight of 575 grams.

2. Prosperity Lane, Belmont: One suspect was arrested for multiple offences, including possession of 262 grams of marijuana, six rounds of 5.56 ammunition, and camouflage clothing.

3. Blackett Lane, Belmont: One suspect was apprehended on an outstanding warrant for Robbery.

This operation was spearheaded by Senior Superintendent Thom, Superintendent Nicholls, Superintendent Jankie, and ASP Soodeen, with close supervision from Inspector Durga and Sgts Guerra, Sookhoo, St. Bernard, and Liverpool. Corporals Yearwood, Christopher, Nunes, and John also played key roles in executing this operation.
