The search continues for missing oil rig worker, Pete Phillip.
Mr. Phillip, of La Romaine, was one of 75 employees of Well Services Petroleum Company Limited aboard Rig 110 when it partially collapsed into the sea early Sunday morning.
In a media release, Heritage Petroleum Company Limited says it will continue sparing no effort with respect to the offshore incident at Rig 110.
Heritage is providing support with nine vessels, which were involved in the initial rescue of personnel onboard the rig. The Company also remains involved in the movement of materials, equipment and personnel, the conduct of surveys, the provision of security, oil spill monitoring, and emergency response.
Contractors for Heritage are also conducting topside drone surveillance and subsea surveillance by way of divers and Remote Operated Vehicles.
Heritage has also set up an Incident Management Team and is in constant contact with officials of the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries.
Meanwhile, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries, Penelope Bradshaw-Niles, visited the Incident Command Centre located at the Trinmar Marine Base, Point Fortin and received an update on the rescue operations.
On-site at the Trinmar Base, Permanent Secretary Bradshaw-Niles also met with the family members of Mr. Pete Phillip.
The Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries, via a media release, says it remains fully engaged in assisting both Well Services and Heritage Petroleum Company Limited by providing 24-hour support for the Rig 110 Incident Response.
Incident response efforts remain ongoing and the MEEI team remains on the ground.
