Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar says with hope, faith, respect and love, we can overcome any challenge we face as a people.
In her Christmas message to the nation, Mrs. Persad-Bissessar thanked those on the front line of the Covid -19 pandemic and all those in essential public services for their duty to the country.
She also urged everyone to continue to follow the health protocols and to consider getting vaccinated.
The Opposition Leader acknowledged that the Covid-19 pandemic continues to be a challenge affecting us all with many families having lost loved ones, and countless people left unemployed and are struggling to feed and provide for their families.
Mrs. Persad-Bissessar said as we celebrate the season let us remember that it is a season of giving, not of material possessions but of ourselves. She asked that we help make Christmas brighter for others in our communities in any small way we can.
