Following the extension of the TTFA Normalization Committee’s tenure by one year, Chairman Robert Hadad has delivered his Christmas message.
Hadad said these are unprecedented times, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected all of us in one way or another, and football has been no different.
Like the rest of the local sporting fraternity, he said leagues and competitions have had to be put on hold, delaying the progress we had all hoped to achieve.
He added while many have mixed views on the efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccines, it is the only defence we have against this deadly disease and encouraged everyone that hasn’t been vaccinated to speak with their doctor about the importance of so doing.
Mr. Hadad noted that sport has delivered many bright and inspiring moments and have been a welcome salve to troubling times – both the Men and Women’s National Teams have been putting in the hard work in the face of very trying conditions, and we are beginning to see the fruits of their efforts.
He said even though the work of the Normalization Committee was hampered by COVID and they were unable to implement much of what they had planned, they are determined to get football back on track.
