Adverse Weather Alert Yellow Level Discontinued For T&T

The Adverse Weather Alert Yellow Level for Trinidad and Tobago has been discontinued.

Confirmation came from the Meteorological Service of Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday shortly after 5pm.

Earlier, the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management reminded members of the Public to remain vigilant as there was heavy rain accompanied by strong winds caused by the lingering Inter Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) in and around the islands. The ODPM said it is maintaining coordination with emergency agencies and facilitating the first responses as required.

Additional relief supplies were dispatched to Tobago on Sunday via the Cabo Star. Items include Trash Pumps, rope of various sizes, cleaning buckets, coolers, raincoats and batteries.
