All Protocols Followed After Divali Nagar Disruption

Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister – Communications, Symon de Nobriga, is satisfied that the team at TTT Limited did all in their remit to rectify the issue of a drop in broadcast feed for the NCIC Divali Nagar on Saturday.

In a media release, the Minister also corrected a false narrative that the feed dropped at the moment when Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar’s address was set to commence.

Minister de Nobriga pointed out that on Saturday at 8:23pm, there was a ‘Network Connection Failure’ where just over a half hour later at 8:58pm is when the Opposition Leader’s 14 minute speech began. Connection he said was re-established at 9:23 pm, 11 minutes after the Opposition Leader’s speech ended.

The Minister assured though that TTT followed all protocols following the drop in broadcast feed in immediately notifying the National Council for Indian Culture (NCIC), along with notifying its viewing audience of the disruption, and seeking to remedy the situation by publishing the entire uninterrupted broadcast on its online platform.
