Australia In Charge Of First Test Against West Indies

The West Indies are facing a mammoth task if they are to salvage anything from the First Test versus Australia in Perth.

Kraigg Brathwaite’s team trails by 344 runs at the end of day three with the home team batting in their second innings on 29 for 1. This, after the Windies were bowled out for 283 which included a promising open partnership of 78 between Brathwaite and Tagenarine Chanderpaul who made 64 and 51 respectively.

Extras was the next big contributor with 38, while Jermaine Blackwood made 36 and Shamarh Brooks, who replaced Nkrumah Bonner as a concussion substitute, contributed 33. Australia captain Pat Cummins was the best bowler with 3 for 34 in 20.2 overs.
