Deborah Gopaul who was found dead in a Mazda 323 car along the Claude Noel Highway on March 26th died as a result of asphyxia.
Asphyxiation occurs when the body is deprived of oxygen. This impairs normal breathing and may cause unconsciousness. It may also lead to death.
The autopsy for the 58 year old woman took place on Friday at the Scarborough General Mortuary. Gopaul, of Crown Point was found slumped on the right front seat of the vehicle. Her body and the car were partially burnt.
