Thirty three Media Awards were given out at the 53rd Caribbean Union Media Awards on Tuesday.
The event was held at the Shaw Park Cultural Complex in Tobago.
Secretary General Sonia Gill said the regional media emerged from the pandemic with a greater understanding of their role.
Meanwhile, TTT Limited’s CEO, David Roberts, said the company had submitted several entries but was there to cheer on all the entrants in the spirit of camaraderie.
Media houses from the region’s Dutch, English, and Spanish-speaking territories participated in the competition to showcase the excellent work being created in the Caribbean.
