Two men have been granted bail by Masters of the High Court after they were charged with multiple fraud offences.
63 year old Shaffick Abdool of Freeport was charged with Possession of a forged Republic of Trinidad and Tobago National Identification Card, Uttering Forged Documents and Obtaining Money by False Pretences. He was granted bail in the sum of $80,000.
In the second incident, 55 year old Minshell Khan of D’Abadie, who was charged for the same offences, was granted bail in the sum of $50,000 with a cash alternative.
In separate incidents, both men presented identification cards and Senior Citizens Pension cheques for encashment at a supermarket. The documents were allegedly found to be fraudulent and the men were arrested.
