The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises that work on the final phase of the Beetham Sewer Pipeline Project is progressing as planned after the team from T&TEC completed securing the underground high-voltage cable in the pathway between the two newly installed manholes, on Monday 24th January, 2022.
Therefore, completion of works is expected to be deferred by no more than one week.
The project is progressing with the installation of the pipeline to connect manholes #1 and #2, as well as installation of the third and final manhole. This will be followed by the reconnection of two (2) sewer lateral connections; interconnection of the new pipeline system; and finally remedial and restoration works, inclusive of permanent road restoration.
The Authority is working assiduously towards completing these works at the earliest to minimise the inconvenience to the residents of Beetham and will continue to issue ongoing updates as key milestones are achieved.
