Sepp Blatter, former head of FIFA, and Michel Platini, former head of European Football, are once again facing legal proceedings in Switzerland over allegations of fraud.
The two were previously cleared in 2022 after being tried for a payment of 2 million Swiss francs that was transferred to Platini in 2011 with Blatter’s approval. Both men maintained that the payment was legitimate compensation for advisory services Platini provided to FIFA.
