Busy Day At Forensic Science Centre

It was a busy Tuesday morning at the Forensic Science Centre coming out of the long Labour Day weekend as relatives connected to those involved in murders that took place gathered to identify the victims.

At least 10 people were killed between Friday and Monday, taking this country’s murder toll as of Tuesday to 249.

Among the murders that took place recently were two men who were shot in a vehicle upon leaving the ‘Stink and Dutty’ J’ouvert Fete at the Brian Lara Stadium on Monday. Two of the victims died at the scene and a third was rushed to the hospital where he remains in a critical condition. One of the men was identified as Enrique Gill, also known as Sponge Bob.

The fete took place between 3am and 11am at the stadium.

The shooting incident caused a traffic jam along the highway that delayed hundreds of motorists.
