Creating a safe workplace environment for persons who have various sexual orientations. CAISO Sex and Gender recently launched their LGBTI-plus Workplace Policy for adoption in the private and public workforce.
Director of CAISO, Angelique Nixon, said the model policy offers workplaces measures for implementing change, and ensures LGBTI+ people find an equal place and aren’t treated unfairly and unjustly.
The policy launch is in partnership with the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) and the British High Commission.
High Commissioner to Trinidad and Tobago Harriet Cross said the policy is an opportunity for organisations to start discussions with their staff towards creating safer and fairer workplaces.
