Survivor of the 1990 attempted coup, Wendell Eversley, is calling for recommendations from the Report of the Commission of Enquiry into the Coup to be implemented.
Speaking at a Wreath Laying Ceremony for a slain police officer who lost his life on July 27th 1990, Mr. Eversley said he has been begging past and present administrations to honour some of the recommendations that were suggested.
He said July 27th is a day that remains embedded in the history of Trinidad and Tobago, and believes it is time for certain actions be taken to commemorate the day in a more meaningful way.
At the ceremony, Reverend Autly Granthume of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church remembered Solomon Mc Cleod, a police officer who lost his life on the day of the attempted coup.
