On Friday evening members of the Carapo Shiv Mandir came to prepare for the Mother’s Day programme and found the temple broken into and vandalised.
The temple was secured on Friday night but the bandits struck again sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning.
The intruders not only stole items, including 3 ring stoves, a gas tank, a microwave, a kettle and jewellery, but they cooked corned beef in a pot used to make parsad, a traditional sweet used in religious offerings and prayers.
