The 53rd Annual General Assembly (AGA) of the Caribbean Broadcasting Union (CBU) will take place from August 15th to the 17th, and will be hosted by the Tobago House of Assembly (THA).
Participating member organisations will meet and discuss issues impacting the industry both regionally and internationally.
The CBU will also host the Gala CBU Caribbean Media Awards, which celebrates regional excellence in television, radio, digital and print media.
On Monday, the Tobago House of Assembly and the CBU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which formalises their partnership in hosting the event. Both THA Secretary of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities and Transportation, Tashia Burris, and the CBU President, Kayleaser Deveaux-Isaacs, said they are happy to explore the opportunities brought about by the occasion.
Entries are now open to both CBU members and non-member Caribbean media houses for the CMA Awards, and will close on May 25th.
