A 53 year old woman was shot dead while she was asleep at her Champs Fleurs home early this morning.
According to police, sometime after 1:30am, officers responded to a report of a shooting at the home of the victim, Rosemary Harricharan.
The officers found Harricharan’s lifeless body lying in a bedroom. Police said the woman was shot multiple times in the right side of her chest and lower left abdomen.
Her 24 year old daughter was shot at, but escaped unhurt.
A motive is yet to be established for the killing.
Investigations are continuing.
