Charity begins at home. Most are familiar with this timeless saying but as one group of volunteers in Port of Spain showed today, it’s more than just a saying – it’s putting the action to the words.
Some of the most vulnerable residents of East Port of Spain received a meal today courtesy of an anonymous charity and Member of Parliament for Port of Spain South, Keith Scotland.
The MP notes that this charitable activity is just a temporary solution and he’s eyeing a better one that is already in train.
Saturday’s Charity Soup Drive took place in front of the Riverside car park.
