A child is among the three Omicron variant COVID-19 cases in Tobago. This from Secretary for Health, Wellness and Social Protection Dr. Faith B. Yisreal who explained that of the two cases reported over the last 24 hours, the child has a travel history. According to the Health Secretary a negative result before travel was provided, but on arrival as the child is unvaccinated, the requirement was to have another test done. This result was positive. Dr. B Yisraels said the sample was tagged for genetic testing and investigations are ongoing into the third omicron case.
