Club Sando Take On Solidarité Scolaire In CONCACAF Caribbean Club Shield

TT Premier Football League outfit Club Sando will begin the quest of regional glory when they contest their first match in the CONCACAF Caribbean Club Shield on Thursday, and it will be the first appearance of a T&T Club at that level in quite a long time.

Solidarité Scolaire of Guadeloupe will be the first opponents of Club Sando when action begins at Warner Park in St. Kitts on Thursday from 5pm, and it will be the first sighting of a Trinidad and Tobago club since 2018 with the pandemic and normalisation being key factors in the hiatus.

The fifth edition of the CCCS will feature 15 participating teams from 15 CONCACAF Member Associations and the team coached by Cornell Glen qualified by virtue of placing third in the TTPFL and will contest Group D which also consist of Aruba’s SV Dakota, SWA Sharks FC of Turks and Caicos, as well as the Guadeloupe club.

After round-robin play, the four Group winners will advance to the Semi Finals.

The two finalists will secure a berth in the 2023 CONCACAF Caribbean Cup which kicks off on August 23rd.
