Contingency Plan Needed For Disasters

A contingency plan is needed in case there is a disaster. That’s according to President of the Greater San Fernando Area Chamber of Commerce, Kiran Singh.

Mr. Singh was responding to questions and concerns following last Wednesday’s 12-hour power outage. He said the incident greatly affected the Southern business community, and called for greater assurance of protection from the State. The Southern Chamber’s President said Government should offer incentives for everyone to access alternative forms of power supply like solar and wind. He added that putting an emergency plan in place is important.

Mr. Singh commented on the issue during TTT’s Now Morning Show on Tuesday.
