Commissioner of Police Erla Harewood-Christopher is warning that any any act of
violence committed against any officer of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is absolutely unacceptable and will not be
taken lightly.
Her comments come in the wake of an incident where a member of the Guard and Emergency Branch was shot and wounded while executing duties on Monday.
Commissioner Harewood-Christopher said any attack on an officer is an attack on the very foundation on which our society stands. She said these acts will not be tolerated and the TTPS will pursue all necessary measures to bring the perpetrators of this crime to justice.
The Police Commissioner said those who feel emboldened to commit acts of lawlessness will feel the full force of the TTPS.
