Cordettes Celebrate 60 Years

The year was 1962, Ojoe Street Sangre Grande, the strains of the newly formed Cordettes Steel Orchestra permeated the air. Founders Stanley Cooper and Aldwin Chow Lin On, whose yard turned into the band’s first pan yard, listened attentively to the sounds emanating from the steel pans. Sixty years later, the Cordettes is still a well-respected band representing Sangre Grande and Trinidad and Tobago.
